We’ve got an investment idea for you:
A small, scrappy creative agency called Behemoth.
We know what you’re thinking: Who the heck is Behemoth and why should we talk to these guys? Good questions. Behemoth is a small, creative-driven advertising company in Kansas City that happens to have a vault-load of experience in the banking business. During our careers, we’ve created work for Bank of Blue Valley, NBKC, Frost Bank, UMB and Commerce Bank. We’ve also worked with an array of non-banking industry giants as well, such as YRC Freight, NIC, McDonald’s, Sonic Drive-In, Children’s Mercy, Smart Warehousing, Big O Tires and Hostess.
You say you don’t need another ad agency? Good. Because that’s not us.
We utilize a scalable model and partner with an orbiting team of brand strategists, social media specialists, content creators, media planners, buyers and digital developers that we use when we need them. This allows us to be faster and more flexible than a typical agency with a bunch of layers.
Give us a shout and let us help drive your business forward. But before you do that, scroll down and take a look at some work we’ve done. You’ll also find more on the main Behemoth website. Thanks for your time.
SO WHO ARE THESE BEHEMOTH GUYS?

WHAT WE ARE:
A small, creative-driven advertising-ish agency with an ironic name. We provide big agency experience with a more nimble, efficient approach to brand building.
WHAT WE CAN HELP YOU WITH:
Digital creative and content, TV, radio, video, web design, print advertising, direct mail, in-branch signage, collateral, internal campaigns and communication, promotional concept and execution, brand strategy, social media campaigns and coin counting.
HOW WE WORK:
You give us a problem.
We go back to our tiny, 1 window office and ask ourselves, “How can we solve this problem?”
If necessary, we go get outside team members that have specific skills or relevant experience based on your project.
We find a single, meaningful idea to build your brand on.
We use that idea to quickly make something simple that people will like. It's that easy.
BANK OF BLUE VALLEY
Bank of Blue Valley is a community-driven bank with a charismatic leader (Bob Regnier), whose mission is all about moving Kansas City forward. We helped them tell that story with a print campaign built around the three pillars that guide their business: Community, Philanthropy and Entrepreneurship. Three powerful words…that are all hard to spell.
We also reinforced the pillars of Community, Philanthropy and Entrepreneurship to the bank’s investors in a redesigned annual report.
Bank of Blue Valley offers a lot of big bank services with a community bank feel. We created a retail banking campaign for them that tied their logo directly to those services to help build awareness.
RETAIL BANKING - SOCIAL MEDIA
And what modern day advertising work story wouldn't have social media? Not this one. We focused on a younger target with some good trigger images and some cheeky hashtags.
NBKC came to us wanting to promote their lending services to younger, first-time home buyers. Using Snapchat, we created a campaign that used an interactive quiz and focused on the home buyer’s dog. Because really–who doesn’t stop scrolling for cute animal pictures?
To quote their director of marketing, “The Snap campaign did an amazing job with engagement. Unheard of numbers.”
THE NBKC EMPLOYEE RESOURCE WEBSITE
NBKC has a fun, un-banky culture. Case in point: They refer to themselves as Bad Ass Bankers. They wanted to take that attitude and quirkiness and bring it to life in one of the most traditionally boring things ever—the HR department’s employee resource website. So, Behemoth wrote and designed a new, un-banky new HR website that was more fun and reflective of their culture.
If you are looking for an advertising partner that you can (bean)count on, give us a call.
We'd love to talk. We'll even refrain from using any more bank puns.
